Marie A. (Rigdon) Stremlow, passed away, Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Eagle Point Nursing Home – Clinton.
Per her request she will be cremated with no services at this time. A graveside services will be held in Galena next spring 2017. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Marie Antoinette Rigdon was born on May 11, 1920 in Galena, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Marie Antoinette (Mohr) Rigdon. She married Peter Nassif and later married Harold Stremlow.
Marie was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She was a cashier at Eagle Food Stores for many years. She lived a long and full life and will be missed deeply by her family.
Marie is survived by two daughters: Margaret Wood of Connecticut, Bonnie (Robert) McManus of Camanche, and one son Donald Nassif of New Hampshire; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters: Sandra Nassif and Beth (David) Jacobsen; one grandson; brothers: Joseph, Kenneth, Bernard, Donald, and Paul, infant twins: William and Robert, and one sister: Vivian Bastian.
The family is greatful to the staff of Eagle Point Nursing Home for their special care of Marie for the past 15 years.
