Marian T. Shaff, 93, of Bickford College, Clinton, died Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Skilled Care of Mercy Medical Center, South Campus. Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zor Read Obituary
Dear Shaff Family, I don't have specific memories of Marian except that I remember her as a Gracious Lady. Her poise and style spoke well of her. She loved her family and friends. I am certain that she never stopped teaching. She finished her race well; Loving/Loved, Respecting/Respected, Honoring/Honored.

Dear John,
Please accept our deepest sympathies at the loss of your mother. May she rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon her. Your mother's grandmother was a Sievers, a sister to my great grandfather, Henry Sievers. Though I never met your mother, I was very familiar with her name and her connection to our branch of the family tree and in the research that you and I have both done over the years doing family genealogy. I remember first hearing of your mother and her family from Dorothy Wegman and Mabel Frank, your mother's mother's first cousins. They all had great things to say about her! She certainly led a very full life and now she reaps her eternal reward!!

Your Mother always impressed us boys with her vision,
practicality, and work ethic. I think back to her countless Cancer Society education and fund raising hours with our Mother, support for 4H, and dedicated support for your Father's political activity. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and a strong community member. Our family has been blessed by knowing and working with her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family as you adjust to the loss of Marian. Life is not the same as our family make-up changes. Sorry we were unable to attend the funeral and visitation.
My mom, Margaret Cornish, belonged to Folletts Study Club with Marian. Mom died at age 97 here in Florida with us.
