Marian Meyers' Obituary
Marian K. Meyers, 87, of Clinton, died Monday, May 18, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 am on Friday, May 22, 2009 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Scott, Richard, John, Joseph, Nicholas, Andrew, Justin and Jeremy.
Marian Kathleen Cassens was born on March 1, 1922 in Sterling, IL, the daughter of LeRoy and Lena (Beck) Cassens. She graduated from Tampico High School. She married Charles E. "Bud" Meyers on November 4, 1944 in California; he died on July 7, 1977.
Marian owned and operated Hilltop Beauty Shop for over 50 years. She was a member of Chancy Lutheran Church and the National Hairdressers Association.
She is survived by her 4 sons: David (Barbara) Meyers of San Rafael, CA, Mike (Bonnie) Meyers of Clinton, Gary (Jan) Meyers of La Grange, IL, and Steve (Lori) Meyers of Algonquin, IL; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one brother: Robert (Geri) Cassens of Prophetstown, IL, and brother in law Larry Berge of Benton, KY.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Charles E. Meyers Jr., one granddaughter: Tina Meyers and one sister: Beverly Berge. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.
