Marian Lois Enwright's Obituary
Marian Lois Enwright, 95, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the Alverno, Clinton. Services for Marian will be held at 10:30AM Thursday, October 3, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church, Clinton. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the service hour Thursday at church. Marian was born November 28, 1928 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Herman Gustof and Bernice (Danielsen) Niebuhr. She married LD Eddie Enwright June 20, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa; LD died August 18, 2000.
Marian was a member of St. John Lutheran Church; Marian was known for her warmth and generosity. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel special, whether through her wise advice, or simply by being there when you needed her. Her passion for life brought joy to those around her. Marian loved always having horses around, planting flowers, sitting outside, and most of all being with family.
Marian was employed as senior administrative specialist for the Clinton Police Department in 1981 and 1986 changed to City Hall for Mayor LaMetta Wynn and City Attorney Bruce Johansen. Marian retired in year of 2005 at 75 years old.
Survivors include her children, Kevin Enwright of Camanche; Mark Enwright of Clinton and Sheryl (Larry) Villa of Clinton; five grandchildren Ryan Swanson, Zachary Villa, Tara Schultz, Quinn Enwright, Ashley Enwright, six Great-grandchildren and sisters, Carol Stuedemann of Camanche and Donna Chatfield of Bloomington, MN.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Rodney L Swanson, granddaughter Mollie Enwright, brothers Eugene (Gene) F Niebuhr and John (Jack) W Niebuhr.
