Marian H. Edwards' Obituary
Marian H. Edwards, 103 of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Crestridge Care Center – Maquoketa, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Saint Paul Lutheran Church – Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30am to the service time at the church on Wednesday. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Marian Helma Edwards was born on September 5, 1918 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Delbert and Mayme (First) Edwards. She was a 1936 graduate of Clinton High School. She went to work at Schall Candy Company on her 18th birthday. Later did war work at Climax Engineering from 1942-1948. Later she became co-owner of M&W Schwinn Bicycles until her retirement in 1980.
Marian loved to travel and visited Australia, New Zealand, and twice to Hawaii. She traveled to Canada many times and visited all but four states in the United States. She was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for 25 years and belonged to the Deborah Circle. She also belonged to the Clinton Business and Professional Women’s Club until retirement.
She is survived by a special friend: Ardena Zirbes of Clinton and a special niece: Mary Edwards of Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Warren, Milton, and Arthur and a sister: Lois.
Memorials can be made to Saint Paul Lutheran Church.
