Marian Ashworth's Obituary
Marian L. Ashworth, 87, of Clinton, died Sunday at Mercy Medical Center, North Campus, Clinton. Funeral Services will be 1:30pm, Thursday, September 8, 2011 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30pm to the service time at the funeral home on Thursday. Marian L. Peterson was born on December 11, 1923 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Clayton and Margaret (Streib) Peterson. She married Donald W. Ashworth on April 24, 1949 in Nashua, Iowa; he later died on April 27, 1981. She was a 1941 graduate of Fort Dodge High School. She owned and operated the Clinton Billiard Parlor for 29 years; retiring in 1982. She is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
