Margaret "Markie" Ardella Sander's Obituary
Margaret Ardella (Markie) Sander, 87, of Clinton, Iowa passed away Saturday, October, 12, 2013 at West Wing Place, DeWitt. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. There will be no service and cremation will follow the visitation. Margaret was born September, 16, 1926 in Potosi, Wisconsin, the daughter of Guy and Christina (Hagen) Cronk. She was educated in the Clinton schools. Margaret married Robert John Sander in Clinton, Iowa on January 19, 1946; he passed away October 28, 2008.
Margaret was employed as a meat cutter at Kopp’s Market for several years.
Survivors include her son, John (Pattie) Sander of DeWitt; grandchildren, Jessica (Eric) Sander of DeWitt and Martina (Dan) Buckman of Camanche; great-grandchildren, Brett, Shawn, Drew, Mitchell, Kole and Bryon; sisters, Gloria (Charles) Smith of Clinton; Dianna (Leroy) VanKampen of Fulton; and Delores Elder of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Melvin (Helma) Cronk of Clinton; sisters-in-law, Shirlee Cronk of Clinton and Helen Cronk of Camanche and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
