Margaret Melchiorri's Obituary
Margaret L. Melchiorri, 90, of Clinton, Iowa died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the Alverno Health Care Facility. Services will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 10:00am. Visitation will be held at Snell-Zornig on Friday, August 14, 2009 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jody Minor, Lonny, Aaron and Ryan Melchiorri, Tyler Schrader and Melissa Jost. Margaret was born July 3, 1919 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Arthur and Adelta (Koons) Jackson. She was a 1936 Clinton High School graduate. Margaret was a homemaker. She married Robert Holliday on July 10, 1937 in Clinton; he died May 4, 1945. She later married Carl Louis "Luigi" Melchiorri on April 20, 1948 in Clinton; he died August 9, 2006. Survivors include, 3 daughters, Connie Baker of Clinton; Carla (Steve) Schrader of Camanche; and Cindy (Randy) Gilbert of Clinton; 1 son, Ron (Ruthann) Melchiorri of Camanche; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Joyce Brown of Clinton, and 2 brothers, Gary (Donna) Jackson of Camanche and Jim Jackson of Fisher, IN. Memorials may be made to the Alverno.
