Margaret McConaughy's Obituary
Margaret Louise (Peggy) Cutler McConaughy, formerly of Polo, Illinois and Camanche, Iowa, died December 8, 2014, in Rockford, Illinois.
Peggy was born October 23, 1924, in Clinton, Iowa, to Kenneth and Erna Cutler. She worked as a secretary at the Eclipse Company in Clinton, Iowa, and for many years worked as a receptionist in her husband's chiropractic clinic in Polo, Illinois.
In 2000, after her husband's death, Peggy moved back to her family home in Camanche, Iowa, and in 2013, she moved to an assisted living facility in Rockford, Illinois.
Peggy loved animals and was a life long member of the ASPCA. She was known for her cooking skills and her lavish holiday get-togethers for family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter Susan (Dr. Joe) Frost, grandsons Joe Frost, Jr., DVM, (Martha), Joshua Frost, DVM (Lisa), granddaughters Megan McKenzie (Jeremy) and Molly Lust (Tommy) and 7 great granchildren. She was preceeded in death by her brother Robert Cutler, her husband of 55 years, Edwin McConaughy DC, and her son Mark McConaughy DC.
Burial is in Rose Hill Cemetary, Camanche, Iowa.
