Margaret Humphrey's Obituary
Margaret E. Humphrey, 83, of Clinton, died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Alverno Health Care Facility. A Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 9:00am to Noon at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. A prayer will conclude the visitation at noon. Margaret Ellen Althouse was born on July 6, 1926, in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of George and Ella (Briggs) Althouse. She married Larry Humphrey on May 29, 1965 in Clinton, Iowa. She graduated from Clinton High School and was employed with General Electric for 40 years. She was a member of the Eagles Club. Margaret is survived by her husband: Larry of Clinton; one daughter: Lynn Hopkins of Macomb, Illinois; four sons: Terry (Delores) Thomas of Los Lunas, New Mexico, Jeff Thomas of Sun City, California, Mark Thomas of Clinton, and Scott Thomas of Sun City, California; nine grandchildren including Jason Thomas who lived with and cared for her for many years; and 1 great grandson. She was preceded in death by parents, one brother, and two sisters. Memorial may be made to the family.
