Margaret J. Cherek, 92, of Clinton, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Alverno.
Funeral Mass will be 9:00am, Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with visitation from 8:30am to the mass time Saturday. Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Margaret Jean Kilsdonk was born on July 26, 1925 in Duluth, Minnesota, the daughter of Martin and Mary Ellen (Dunn) Kilsdonk. She married Eugene Cherek on April 15, 1947 in Antigo, Wisconsin, he died December 27, 1995.
Margaret was a nurse at Mercy Hospital for over 20 years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She was a volunteer with the Red Cross for over 50 years and Mercy Hospice. She enjoyed reading books and puzzle books.
Margaret is survived by three daughters: Jeanne (David) Collins of North Liberty, Iowa, Ellen Jones of Clinton, Iowa, and Marianne Colschen of Yakama, Washington; seven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and two sisters.
Memorials can be made to the American Red Cross or Mercy Hospice in Margaret’s name.
