Margaret Bertramsen's Obituary
Margaret L. Bertramsen, 86, formerly of Clinton, passed away, Monday, May 11, 2015 at Three Forks of Forney – Forney, Texas.
Graveside services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Springdale Cemetery – Clinton, Iowa. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be left by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com
Margaret Lois Dornbush was born on October 27, 1928 in Fulton, Illinois, the daughter of Jacob and Anna (Medema) Dornbush. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1946 and then attended vocational beauty school in Davenport, Iowa. She married Jerome Bertramsen on December 1, 1948 in Fulton, Illinois; he preceded her in death on April 19, 2000.
Margaret was a homemaker. She also helped her husband with his family business doing the books and other clerical work.
Margaret was a member of the Community Reform Church; she belonged to the Mercy Auxillary and was involved with the Friends of the Library. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and reading. For most of her life she visited shut-ins and also brought them things they needed from the store.
Margaret is survived by her two children: Eric (Amy) Bertramsen of Ruidoso, New Mexico and Sara (Alan) Taylor of Forney, Texas; one grandson: Brandon Taylor; and one brother: Allen Dornbush of Fulton, Illinois.
In addition to her husband Jerome, Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Memorials may be made to the Community Reform Church - Clinton.
