Marcella Mary Bundy's Obituary
Marcella Mary Bundy, 95, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Mercy One, Clinton. Services will be 9:30AM Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Clinton with Fr. John Lamansky officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, a luncheon will follow the burial at the church. Marcella was born April 19, 1927 in Minnesota, the daughter of Clovis and Mary Louise (Riendeau) Proulx. She married Frank Bundy in Missouri; he died February 18, 1999.
Marcella devoted over 20 years of service to a General Electric, retiring in 1991. She also worked at the Recreation Lanes in Clinton for many years.
Marcella was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of all she knew. She lived life through simple pleasures, gardening, baking and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved preparing large feast for the holidays for the family and friends. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, the Women’s Auxiliary and the AMVETS Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Sandra Jacobs of Clinton, IA; Candance Evans of North Liberty, IA; Debra (Lee) Hasse of The Villages, FL; Edward (Brenda) Stremlow of Clinton, IA; Jeffrey Stremlow of Sparks, NV and Donna (Jeff) Worf of Elgin, IL; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and her sister, Marie Geraldine Proulx of Alexandria, VA.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Curt Bundy; five brothers and four sisters.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
