Mackenzie E. Guilliams' Obituary
Mackenzie Elizabeth Guilliams was born on June 7, 2005 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Daniele Mullin and Garret Guilliams. She was a 2023 graduate of Clinton High School where she was active with volleyball. While attending CHS she also obtained a Business Management Certificate at Clinton Community College. She had attended DMACC working on her nursing degree.
Mackenzie was currently working as a med aide at Westly on Grand in Des Moines. While in high school she worked at the Alverno.
Mackenzie was a hard core Swiftie, and also loved country music. Most of all she loved family time, hanging out with special friends, and taking care of others. Which is where she began her desire for nursing.
Mackenzie is survived by her parents: Daniele and Josh Eggers of Goose Lake, Garret and Ashely Guilliams of Virginia; her siblings: Jordan Eggers, Joselyn Petersen, Dane Eggers, Gavin Guilliams, Lincoln & Rowan Guilliams; step-sister: Tatum Hackstiine; grandparents: Roberta Peltier of Iowa City, Jeff & Julie Eggers of Clinton, Rich & Danielle Guilliams of Gladbrook, Iowa; great-grandparents: Geraldine Cox of Clinton, John & Pat Wenzel of Clinton, and Kim & Susan Barker of Low Moor; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandpa: Dan Mullin and great-grandparents: Shirley Guilliams, John & Gloria Mullin, Dorance Cox, Robert and Amy Dierks
Funeral Mass will be 10:30am, Monday, September 30, 2024 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Glahn Cemetery – rural Goose Lake. Serving as pallbearers will be her Cousins and Uncles: Jace Caven, Reece Caven, Noah Mullin, Deighton Eggers, Brent Caven and Luke Webinger. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Lee James, Dane Eggers, Cael Caven, William James, and Weston James. Visitation will be Sunday from Noon to 4:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Memorials in lieu of flowers can be made to the family.
