Luella F. Gifford's Obituary
Luella Gifford, 85, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Luella’s request of cremation rites will be honored. Luella was born on February 11, 1933 to Harold and Ruth (Parker) Flack. On September 3, 1954 in Clinton, Iowa, she married Richard Gifford. Luella graduated from Clinton High School. She attended several colleges and became a remedial reading teacher in Fulton, IL. Luella believed every child should be given the opportunity to learn. She enjoyed her years of teaching.
Luella served on the City Council of Clinton, Iowa and was a member of the business community. She and Dick had many years traveling together in their motor home. Luella loved shopping with her friends and spending time with her family.
Luella is survived by her son, Brian Gifford and his wife, one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister.
