Lucille E. Humphrey, 93, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Mercy Living Center – North.
A Service to Celebrate Lucille’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2016. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Lunch and fellowship will follow at Jenny’s restaurant in Clinton.
Lucille E. Russell was born on November 1, 1922 in Preston, Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Gertrude (Wise) Russell. She married Paul V. McDonnell on February 14, 1940. She later married Harry Humphrey on August 17, 1974 in Clinton; he died February 5, 2011.
Lucille was employed at GE in Morrison for 31 years, retiring in 1987. She also worked at the Clinton Garment Factory.
Lucille was a member and student of the Concept-Therapy Institute for more than 40 years. She enjoyed her times with family and treasured being with her grandchildren. She always said I want my grandchildren to know me and remember good times with me.
Lucille is survived by her son: Richard (Elizabeth) McDonnell of Verona, Wisconsin, her daughter; Jean Dulany of Davenport, Iowa; three grandchildren: Rächelle (Roger) Hynes of Davenport, Iowa, David (Jill) McDonnell, Hawaii, and Tamra Cihla, San Jose, California; great grandchildren: Alex and Katy Cihla. Maddie, Macey, and Mitchell McDonnell, and Laurel and Ronan Hynes.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
