Lorraine M. Husmann, 92, of Clinton, formerly of Monticello, passed away, Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Alverno.
A Funeral Mass will be 10:30am, Monday, September 17, 2018, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church – Clinton. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery – Monticello, Iowa. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting her obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Lorraine Margaret Aitchison was born on February 3, 1926 in Monticello, Iowa, the daughter of Clare and Margaret (Buol) Aitchison. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Monticello. She married Irvin Husmann on January 24, 1950 in Monticello; he passed away on March 31, 2002.
Lorraine worked at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, and also helped her husband on the family farm.
Lorraine was a member a Prince of Peace Parish where she helped with funeral lunches, enjoyed playing bridge, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She also enjoyed sewing.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter: Christi (Terry) Goldbeck of Clinton; two grandchildren: Bridget Goldbeck of Dubuque, Iowa, and Bob Goldbeck of Rockford, Illinois; sister-in-laws: Ann Aitchison of Monticello, Janaan Husmann of Monticello, and a brother-in-law: Greg Haag of Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister: Mary Jane, and a brother: William.
