Lorraine B. Friedrichsen's Obituary
Lorraine B. Friedrichsen, 60, fell asleep in death from a lifelong lung disease on April 7, 2024. She was surrounded by family and friends during her final weeks.
Lorraine was born in Clinton, Iowa on June 25, 1963 to Herbert and Hannelore Friedrichsen. She is survived by her parents, brother (Jens), sister-in-law (Melanie), and aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lorraine symbolized her dedication to the Creator, Jehovah God, by baptism as one of Jehovah's
Witnesses on June 16, 1979. Lorraine attended Clinton community schools and graduated in 1981. In September of that year, Lorraine started in a voluntary, full-time ministry. She participated in this Bible education work for over 25 years, despite her worsening health condition. Also, Lorraine enjoyed working part-time for Cadogan Chiropractic Clinic for over 17 years. In her spare time, her favorite activities were photography and bike riding.
Throughout Lorraine's life she helped others, especially children. Her devotion to God, kindness, sense of humor, and loyalty to friends will always be remembered.
Her family and friends look forward to the time when she will wake up in the earthly paradise that God has promised (lsaiah 25:8).
Sincere thanks go to Dr. Hornick and his University of Iowa staff, Dr. Nassif of Ames, IA, and Dr. Dornbush of Clinton, IA. Also, we are very thankful for her friends that helped at Lorraine's bedside day and night during her final weeks. In addition, we thank the Mercy One hospice staff, and Lance from CarePro for their very kind care.
Lorraine's memorial will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 2:00 pm, in the Clinton, IA Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (1100 11th Ave North). Online condolences may be expressed by visiting snellzornig.com.
