Loretta M. Duncan, 84, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, formerly of Camanche, IA, died Friday, April 4, 2014, at the Baxter Regional Medical Center, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
A Memorial Luncheon will be Saturday,June 21, 2014 from 11am to 1pm, at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Camanche, IA. The Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory has assisted the family. According to Loretta's wishes, she was cremated.
Loretta Mardell Rydberg was born on November 16, 1929 in Odebolt, IA, the daughter of Harry and Esther(Prestin) Rydberg. She married Clifford(Nipper)R. Duncan on February 1, 1947 in Clinton, IA. He died August 26, 1986. Loretta was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clinton. She lived in Camanche until moving to Lakeview, Arkansas in 1979 and then to Bull Shoals, Arkansas in 2003. Loretta was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and making crafts. She loved spending time with her family.
Loretta is survived by three daughters: Sherry(Clair) Tobey, of Clinton; Deborah Ramey and Theresa Duncan of Camanche; two sons: Willy(Barb) Duncan of Camanche and Dr. Thomas(Christie) Duncan of Olympia, WA: 11 grandchildren including Christopher(Megan) Tobey, Sybil(Shane) Buckley, Sarah(Bryan) Wiles, Kyle(Diana) Duncan, Hayden and Ethan Duncan and 14 great-grandchildren.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, husband and two infant brothers.
Memorial may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
