Lola B. Clary's Obituary
Lola Clary, 84, formerly of Camanche, Iowa passed away peacefully in her apartment at Sarah Harding Independent Living, Clinton, Iowa December 4, 2021 after a few brief weeks stay at MercyOne Hospital with a sudden terminal diagnosis of Lymphoma. She has left this earthly world and is now in the arms of her Heavenly Father.
Lola was born in rural Burlington Junction, Missouri on July 10, 1937, to Harold and Flora (Mitchell) Merritt.

After their divorce in 1971, she worked tirelessly to support herself and her children at various jobs including the One-In-Hand Tie Factory, Petersen-Harned Von Maur, and eventually Kopps Market in Camanche for 14 years.
In 1974, she fell in love and married the love of her life, Tim Clary. They shared 28 wonderful years together until his passing in 2003.
Lola is best remembered for her deep faith, and kept Jesus and his word always in her heart. She was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ for over 65 years and attended on a regular basis until her health would not allow her to do so.
Lola was quite proud of her large family, and prayed for each of them every day. She also enjoyed baking treats for her neighbors and friends and sending cards to friends and family.
Lola is survived by her four children: Phillip Tyler of Texas, Jamie Tyler (Wayne Holte) of Minnesota, Brenda Tyler (Mark Olsen) of Minnesota and Lawrence Tyler (Becky) of Utah; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Audrey Murray of Clinton, brothers: James Merritt (Beverly) of Keokuk, Iowa and Kenneth Merritt (Judy) of Moweaqua, Illinois; as well as sixteen nieces and nephews.
