My heart goes out to Amy and my HS friend, Dee, upon the passing of their beloved mother. I recall the fun times at her home, playing in the basement; her Phys Ed drills, and her "large" personality. I remember her 40+ years later, which says something about what a "dynamo woman" she was. I love that she was a voracious volunteer, that she fed ducks, and that she loved her dog (and, I assume, her daughters and grandchildren.) She lived a very long, full life...which is all any of us can hope for. May she rest in peace. Her memory lives on.

Lois was a wonderful person. I have many happy childhood memories of time spent at the Runnels’ house with my friend, Dee. There were fun overnights with Spudnuts for breakfast, playing “Miss America” on the rock steps in the back yard and sliding down the hill on the Coke sign saucer in the snow. She always decorated their home for the seasons, cleaned house with a flurry and grew marigolds bordering the driveway. Lois baked the first blueberry pie I ever tasted. She and Bob raised two wonderful daughters. We will miss her. Patrice Marling

Lois was a wonderful teacher, and the first to introduce us to the classics of literature-- no small feat when teaching adolescents! I will be forever in her debt for her efforts. Rest in peace, Lois, and my sincere condolences to her family.

Lois was a great lady we got to know her and Robert over last 5 years so not known her for long time but the short time we got to know her we learned how she was a friendly lady that loved to talk to everyone. She will be greatly missed by many our thoughts and prayers go out to the Runnels family.
