Lois J. Hintermeister's Obituary
Lois J. Hintermeister, 94, of Davenport formerly of Clinton passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Davenport, Lutheran Home.

Lois Jean Haywood was born November 30, 1927 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of John and Lillian (Bennett) Haywood. She attended Davenport High School. She married Robert L. Hintermeister on April 20, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa; he preceded her in death in 2004. Lois worked as a bookkeeper for more than 30 years. Locally she worked for Nielsen’s for 14 years and WT Grant for 2 years. She was a past member of the Eastern Star, Zion Lutheran church and belonged to a number of bowling leagues.
She is survived by her two sons: Tom (Karla) Hintermeister of Clinton and Steve (Cindy) Hintermeister of Dubuque; two grandsons: John (Cindy) Hintermeister and Mike (Carrie) Hintermeister; daughter-in-law: Jeanne Hintermeister of Clinton; four great grandchildren: Taylor, Ben, Mike and Bam; four nephews and one niece. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one brother: J. Duane Haywood.
