Lois C. Darrow's Obituary
Lois C. Darrow, 86, of Camanche passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019 at her home – Camanche.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Clinton AMVETS Club.
Lois Carol Balk was born October 6, 1932 in Fulton, Illinois, the daughter of Clarence and Emma (Sikkema) Balk. She was a graduate of Fulton High School. She worked at Waldorf Corporation as a Human Resource Manager for 25 years; retiring in 1994.
Lois married Kenneth R. Voss in 1950 of which she had her four children with, they were later divorced; he passed away in 2013. She later married Michael Darrow on February 18, 1986 in Des Moines, Iowa; they happily spent 33 years together.
Lois enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. Mostly she loved time spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived her by loving husband Michael Darrow of Camanche; four children: Michael (Megan) Voss of Camanche, Gail Voss of Clinton, Lynn (Shaune Kennedy) Voss of Clinton and Dave (Cheryl) Voss of Clinton; eight grandchildren: Amy (Scott) Daniels of Tampa, Florida, Angie (Shawn) Pugh of Dallas, Georgia, Michael Voss of Napa, Idaho, Casey Voss of Clinton, Rachel Voss of Clinton, Matthew (Megan Benck) Murphy of Morrison, Illinois, Jake (Shannon) Voss of Clinton and Ashley (Matt) Sherman of Clinton; eight great grandchildren; two step-children: Dane (Carol) Crouse and daughter Cydney Crouse of Tucson, Arizona and Blair Crouse of Falls Church, Virginia; and one sister: Joan Matthew of Fulton, Illinois.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Memorial may be made to the family.
