Lisa Kay VanDorn, 56, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa City, Iowa.
A visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 1:00-2:30pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. A short prayer service will conclude the visitation.
Lisa Kay Heister was born on May 13, 1967 in DeWitt, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Marcia (Glover) Heister. She was a graduate of Wheatland High School and then later graduated from Northeast Community College with a LPN degree. She married Mark VanDorn on February 18, 2022 in Clinton.
Lisa was employed with Harbor Freight, Timken Drives and was a CNA for many years in Elma, Iowa.
Lisa enjoyed going on day adventures with Mark, gardening and flowers. She also enjoyed spending time family and loved ones.
Lisa is survived by her husband: Mark of Clinton; her children: Erin Kirkpatick of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Adam Kirkpatick of Clinton, Caleb (Madi) Roethler of Riceville, Iowa, and Katie Roethler of Elma, Iowa; five grandchildren; her mother: Marica Glover of Davenport, Iowa; step-sons: Steven VanDorn, Zane VanDorn, and Zach VanDorn; a sister: Lori (Trent) Dalton of Pleasant View, Utah, a half-brother: Paul (Ashley) Heister of DeSoto, Missouri; four nephews; dear aunt Marie Klein. She was preceded in death by her father, her grandparents: Marvin & Opal Glover and Ilff and Edna Heister; and a granddaughter.
