Linda Thompson's Obituary
Linda H. Thompson, 68, of Camanche died Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Genesis West Medical Center, Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00PM Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Camanche Chapel. Cremation will follow the funeral service. Linda D. Hodges was born on November 16, 1940 in Wilmington, NC, the daughter of Ira and Willie (Bufkin) Hodges. She was in the graduating class of 1959 at New Hanover High School Wilmington, NC . After an early retirement as supervisor for many years at Data Dimensions her joys in life were her family and friends. Some of her favorite past times were watching football and cooking her family Sunday dinners. She had a special mom quality of being able to find a silver lining in every dark cloud. She will be greatly missed by all the lives she has touched. She is survived by two sons: Steve (Sonya) Lewis of Clinton, and Kendall Lewis of Wilmington, NC; 2 sisters: Frieda (Edwin) King of Burlington, NC, and Rita (Jack) Allen of Wilmington, NC; one grandson, Austin Lewis of Wilmington NC, and special cousin Virginia Vincent of Wilmington, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
