Lily B. Pitts' Obituary
Lily B. Pitts, 90 of Clinton passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Addington Place in Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Zachary Nothdorf, Levi Nothdorf, Matthew Henricksen, Brian Henricksen and Leon Oberman, Jr. and Todd Berner. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Monday evening at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Lily Bernice Berner was born December 20, 1933 in Rural Maquoketa. She was a 1952 graduate of Lost Nation High School. She married James Pitts on November 30, 1952 in Grand Mound, Iowa; he preceded her in death on October 11, 2016. She worked as a certified Nurse’s Aide at Jane Lamb Hospital for 20 years; retiring in 1989.
Lily was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Clinton. She enjoyed spending time with her family and watching NASCAR. She was very talented and enjoyed time spent sewing, quilting, needlepointing, crocheting, reading and crafts.
She is survived by her two daughters: Linda Nothdorf of Clinton and Diane (Ed) Henricksen of Ashland, Ohio; two grandchildren: Matthew (Lyndsey) Henricksen and Brian (Erin) Henricksen; two step-grandchildren: Levi Nothdorf and Zachary Nothdorf; great grandchildren: Ella, Charlie, Nash and Ben; step-great grandchildren: Eloise and Cayden; and siblings: Flora Fowler of Maquoketa, Milly (Leon) Oberman of Elvira and Chris (Barb) Berner of Clinton.
Lily was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother: William Berner, son-in-law Scott Nothdorf and brother-in-law Robert Fowler, Jr.
