Lillian Rosenboom's Obituary
Lillian E. Rosenboom, 74, of Clinton, died Monday, September 22, 2008 at the Alverno Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Saturday, September 27, 2008 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Clinton with Rev. Paul Holmer officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Rosenboom, Larry Rosenboom, Ronald Rosenboom, Tim Norem, Joey Rosenboom, and Colt Rosenboom. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Robert Taylor and Dickie Taylor. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-8:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Lillian Elmira Taylor was born on May 25, 1934 in Andrew, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Thelma (Tebbens) Taylor. She married Richard H. Rosenboom on June 21, 1952 in Houston, Texas. Lillian was employed working in dry cleaning and also cleaning houses. Lillian was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was active with the Ruth Circle. She enjoyed making everyone around her smile and always seeing the bright side to everything. Lillian is survived by her husband; Richard of Clinton; three sons: Terry Rosenboom of Davenport, Iowa, Larry Rosenboom of Lebanon, Tennessee, and Ronald (Kristen) Rosenboom of Sunburg, Minnesota; one daughter: Lorraine Rosenboom of Clinton; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters: Yvonne Anderson of Waterloo, Iowa, Gloria (Marvin) Jorgensen of Maquoketa, and Pat (Richard) Hamstra of Morrison, Illinois; two brothers: Robert (Marie) Taylor of Austin, Minnesota and Dickie Dean (Sue) Taylor of Houston, Texas. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family. The family would like to also extend a special thank you to Wilma and the late Leonard Rosenboom and family
