Lillian Borota's Obituary
Lillian Marie Borota, age 96, died December 14th at Eagle Point Nursing Home in Clinton. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm Thursday, December 16th at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Kewanee, Illinois at 11:30am Friday December 17th. Lillian was born in Davenport, Iowa on October 17, 1914 to Clara and James Hassen. She graduated from Kewanee High School, Kewanne, Illinois in 1933. She married Peter Borota on September 22, 1934. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1970. Lillian came to Clinton in 2003, and resided at Eagle Point Nursing Home for the past 5 years where she received wonderful care and love. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and her beloved pets. Lillian is survived by 3 sons: James T. (Dessa) Borota and Steven (Joan) Borota of Clinton and Phillip (Karen) Borota of Toulon, Illinois, 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, 2 sons, and 1 great great grandchild.
