Les G. Wade's Obituary
Les G. Wade, 80, of Clinton, passed away, Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Javon Bae Medical Center – Rockford, Illinois.
Per Les’ wishes there will be no services or visitation.
Les was born on August 19, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Leslie and Louise (Gary) Wade. He married Nancy Knight on January 16, 1973 in Morrison, Illinois. He was a self-employed mechanic.
Les loved his family, his wife and his church. His greatest love however was his Savior Jesus Christ. When Les was 38 years old he came to the realization that he was a sinner and that one day he would have to pay for his sins. He also understood that Jesus Christ paid his sin debt and put his trust in Christ as his Savior. Because of this we know that when Les left this world he was welcomed into heaven by his Savior Jesus Christ. If there were one thing Les would want you to know it is that heaven can by your eternal home if you put your faith in Jesus as your Savior.
Les is survived by his wife Nancy of Clinton; his children: Leslie W. Wade of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Carl J. (Mindy) Wade of Bristol, Tennessee, Jason E. (Valli) Brauer of Albany, Wisconsin, Christine L. Garrison of Clinton, and Kelly M. (Kay) Wade of Clinton; 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and his brother: Steve Ferriss of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister, and a grandson.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the “Missions Fund” of the Gateway Baptist Church in his memory.
