I would like to extend my sympathy to the entire Mallinger family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless all of you.
I worked with Les many years ago at the Nuclear Plant in Cordova. I remember a lot of good times we had working together. Rest in Peace Les.
Steve know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you and your family.

Uncle Les was the kindest, gentlest man. He always had a smile and a hug for you. He reminded me so much of my mom. He will be sorely missed.

I have so many great memories of Uncle Les. Our first encounter was with some silk pajama's. which he always reminded me of how much I loved them. And going to his house every summer, spending a week and getting to do things with Aunt Deloris and Uncle Les, they always made me feel special.
He came to visit us in Des Moines one Easter and we went to the mall, and the train for the kids was not working. Uncle Les took the tool box some handy man left and he proceeded to fix the train. He told the conductor the least he could do was to let my kids ride free. I believe they did. I think of that train every year and Uncle Les.
And the biggest gift he gave me was when he took me home to St. Marys after helping my sister Therese move to Clinton. I was going to take a bus home and he would not let me ( I was 21). He wanted me to be safe so he took me home, 4 1/2 hours each way in the dark no less and never complained.
The last time I saw him 4 years ago, he gave me the biggest hug I ever had from him. I think we both knew it was the last time we would hold each other. He will always hold a special place in my heart and memories. The world is a little dimmer without my Special Uncle Les in it.
