Leroy H Meyer Sr.'s Obituary
Leroy H. Meyer, Sr., 73, of Clinton, IA, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at the Alverno. A memorial visitation will be held from 4-8PM Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory.
Leroy was born October 22, 1940 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Herman and Darlene (Hugunin) Meyer. He was a 1960 Elvira High School graduate. Leroy had been employed at International Paper as a sheet operator for more than 40 years.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, where he enjoyed playing cards. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and going to the casino.
Survivors include sons, Brian Meyer of Columbus, OH; Terry Meyer of Clinton; daughter Elenna (Steve) Schroeder of Goose Lake, IA; grandchildren, Jennifer, Terri, Brianna, Jessica and Dakota; great-grandchildren, Alya, Aiden and Gracie; brother, Harvey (Tammy) Meyer of Clinton and sister, Nellie Graves of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Leroy, Jr., whom he shared a birthday, brother, Harry and sister, Tillie.
