Leonard “Lenny” A. Eversoll, Jr., 71, of Clinton passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 at his home – Clinton.

Leonard Arthur Eversoll, Jr. was born November 13, 1948 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Leonard A. and Bernadine (Reckenberg) Eversoll, Sr. He was a 1968 graduate of Clinton High School and attended Clinton Community College. He served in the United States Army in the 173 Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. He married Laura Leonard in 1970 and they shared three children; they were later divorced.
Lenny worked at Ralston Purina for many years and he was the assistant basketball and football coach at the Camanche High School. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Clinton and the Clinton AMVETS. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs Fan and the Iowa Hawkeyes; but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was known for spoiling them with candy and sugar.
Lenny is survived by his significant other Judy Starbuck of Clinton; three children: Lance (Darcie) Eversoll of Davenport, Luke (Cassie Heinitz) Eversoll of Clinton and Ashley (Adam Otto) Eversoll of Clinton; step son Todd (Karen) Byers of Camanche; six grandchildren: Delaney, Kaylee, Colton, Keaton, Brooks and Layne; siblings: Linda (Jan) Kotynek of Union Pier, Michigan, Georgia (Kevin) Hansen of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dick Eversoll of Clinton, Alf (Roxann) Eversoll of Camanche and Joann (Danny) Ball of Clinton; many nieces and nephews; and his three loving dogs: Sheena, Ambush and Hope.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Margaret Ann Eversoll and Debbie Johnson and brother-in-law Steve Johnson.
