Leland Robert "Bob" Wessels' Obituary
Leland Robert “Bob” Wessels, 79, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022, at his home in Clinton.
Services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, November 14, 2022 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the service hour Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Oakland Cemetery.
Bob was born March 18, 1943 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Alvis and Florence (Hall) Wessels. He was employed at the Community Care Dairy Farm, Charlotte and the Skyline Center Inc., Clinton.
Bob loved the Dodgers, AKA the Cubs, collecting hot wheels, shirts, hats and anything else he could fit in his pocket, and also enjoyed entertaining his friends by singing John Denver tunes. All of the people that Bob loved became his family.
Survivors include his brother, Wilbur Wessels of Clinton, IA; his family in North Carolina, who he recently connected with and all of his L’Arche family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, including his twin brother.
Memorials may be made to L’Arche.
