Leland “Itch” L. Buckley, 74, of Camanche, IA, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at MercyOne Hospital in Clinton, IA surrounded by loved ones.

Leland Leroy Buckley was born on December 22, 1950 in Clinton, IA, the son of Benoit and Mildred (Langfitt) Buckley.
Itch retired from the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. After retirement he founded Executive Express, a shuttle for railroad workers. Later he worked alongside his youngest son at Paddlewheel Sports Bar and Grill in Bettendorf, IA.
He loved nothing more than spending time with his friends and family and always loved telling stories. He enjoyed watching and bragging about his grandkids’ sporting events and accomplishments. Itch was a dedicated Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoyed his time on the golf course.
Itch is survived by his four sons: Dion Buckley of Bettendorf, IA, Shane (Sybil) Buckley of Camanche, IA, Michael Buckley of Andalusia, IL, and Tony (Anne) Buckley of Bettendorf, IA, 6 grandchildren and his brother, Larry (Martha Truax) Buckley of Clinton, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Denny, and an infant sister.
Itch and his first wife, Susan Beckwith Sieh, fostered over 80 children while married and adopted two. These sons will be forever grateful they were chosen. Memorials can be made to: https://www.bethany-qc.org to help other children and families in need.
