LD Harris' Obituary
L.D. “Larry” Harris, 49, of Clinton, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Trinity – Terrace Park, Bettendorf, Iowa. Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Monday, January 4, 2010 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Visitation will be from noon to the service time Monday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services. LD Harris was born on April 26, 1960, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Ardelle (Cram) Harris. He married JoAnn Stahmer on August 29, 1997 in Savanna, Illinois. He was a carpenter working mainly on carpeting and roofing jobs. He is survived by his wife: JoAnn of Clinton; two sons: Joseph Jewell of Clinton, and James (Ashley) Mitchell of Clinton; four daughters: Crystal (Richard) Zimmerman, Angel (Robert) Jamison, Kayla Stoddard and LeAnn (Mark) Stoddard all of Clinton; 15 grandchildren; three brothers: Dwane (Brenda) Harris of Fulton, Illinois, Samuel Harris of Clinton and Elmer “Jim” Harris, Jr. of Florida; three sisters: Anita (John) Vaugn, Belinda Cox and Patti Harris all of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one grandson, three nephews, and one niece. Memorials can be made to the family.
