Lawrence “Joe” Henry, Jr., 80 of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, September 12, 2024 at his home in Clinton.
Per his wishes there will be no services or visitation. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Lawrence Joseph Henry, Jr., was born on June 22, 1944 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Lawrence and Shirlee (Rafter) Henry, Sr. He was a graduate of Camanche High School and attended Clinton Community College. He married Linda Hague on February 13, 1965 in Caledonia, Minnesota
Joe was an inspector at ALCOA for 34 years, retiring in 1999. He loved the outdoors spending time hunting, fishing and canoeing. He was very active in training hunting dogs and won many ribbons and awards. He was very fond of his black labs: Bull and Duke Henry.
Joe is survived by his wife: Linda of Clinton; two daughters: Jodi (John) Hutch of Schaumburg, Illinois, Patty Schwarz of LeClaire, Iowa, and a son: Joseph Henry of Clinton; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Patti (Donnie) Christiansen of Charlotte, Iowa, Diana Diedrich of Fayetteville, Georgia, and Lisa Henry of Jonesboro, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents: Lawrence and Shirlee Henry; a brother-in-law Dick Diedrich, and a nephew: Chad Christiansen.
