I will always remember Uncle Bud for his nonstop sense of humor. Although as an adult, I only got to see him a handful or times, when I did it was always like the years that had passed never happened. He was always the same, full of jokes and stories and good will. In the last few years of my mother's life (Alice "Kathy" Schaefer), his sister-in-law, he stayed in touch with her regularly on the phone, and I always appreciated that contact, when she told me about their conversations. Aunt Ruth picked a good one, and they made a great family that I am very blessed to have as my cousins. My sympathies to Sandi, Jim, Dan, Craig and their spouses, sons, daughters and grandchildren for their loss.
