Lavonne was the most amazing lady. She was a teacher at my childrens school when it was Longfellow. She helped my son Brandon with reading as he had dislexia and she would take him out for his birthday every year asking who he would like to take with him and he always said his brother and sisters which meant she took all 5. She also would tske them to her home on Easter and make cookies and give them a basket withv tshirts and candy and cookies. She took them to the Science Center and the Art center. She would send me a check for all of them at Christmas. We stayed in touch throughout the years and even when she volunteered at the Red Cross. She was so amazing. I was so blessed to have her and a few other teachers from that school that truly cared about my children and all of the kids there. I am so very sorry for your loss!
