Laverne Carl Wiese, Jr., 63, of Clinton, died, Monday, May 15, 2017 at his home in Clinton. Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Oakland Cemetery, Clinton, where Military honors will be conducted by the Clinton AMVETS.

Laverne was born June 22, 1953 in Clinton Iowa, the son of LaVerne Carl Albert and Marian Lucille (Huebner) Wiese, Sr. He was a Camanche High School graduate. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Okinawa, He was very proud of his military service.
He had been employed at the Clinton Herald and Paul’s Discount for several years.
Survivors include his brother, Randall (Kathy A. Witt) Wiese of Davenport; sisters, Cindy Kay Neal and Anna (Edwin) Burmeister both of Clinton and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
