Laura L. Hansen's Obituary
Laura L. Hansen, 78, of Clinton, Iowa, passed away Monday, December 19, 2022 at home. Services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until the service hour Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting snellzornig.com.
Laura was born April 23, 1944 in Galena, Illinois, the daughter of Samuel and Dorothea (Bennett) Jones. She was educated in the Chadwick, Illinois Schools. Laura married Ralph Hansen in 2006 in Clinton; he died in 2010.
Laura had been employed as a laundry worker at Bluff Terrace for more than 23 years prior to retiring.
She was a member of the Salvation Army where she taught Sunday School and was a Sunshine Sergeant at the Salvation Army. Laura enjoyed playing bingo, loved her family, cooking and feeding people.
Survivors include her son, Larry Newell; daughter, Kayla Said; step-son Daryl Hansen all of Clinton; grandchildren, Nicholas Peska, A.J. Newell and Ashley Newell; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Jones of Clinton and many special nieces and nephews
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kimberly; great-grandson, Chance and brothers and sisters, including twin brothers.
Memorials may be made to the Victory Center.
