Larry A. Ketelsen, 84, of Clinton, passed away, Friday, September 20, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital – Davenport, Iowa..
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church – Clinton. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-6:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Larry Alan Ketelsen was born on August 8, 1940 in Clinton, the son of Chris and Florence (Edens) Ketelsen. He was a 1958 graduate of Clinton High School and a graduate of Clinton Community College. He married Margo Wallace on September 11, 1960 in Clinton.
Larry was employed at Sethness Products as a lab technician for 24 years retiring in 2006. After his retirement he worked part-time at Snell-Zornig Funeral Home helping with funerals and visitations. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Clinton Moose Club. He served on the Clinco/Members Choice now Assentra Credit Union board for over 50 years and was awarded the 2015 Heritage Award. He enjoyed watching the Hawkeyes, golf and gardening. He loved dancing with Margo, the love of his life.
Larry is survived by his wife: Margo of Clinton; two sons: Jeffrey (Susan) Ketelsen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Todd Ketelsen of Omaha, Nebraska; a granddaughter: Brittney Ketelsen of Scottsdale, Arizona, and a sister: Joyce (George) Vallet of Dubuque, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents.
