Larry J. Eliasen's Obituary
Larry J. Eliasen, 88, of Clinton (formerly Morrison) passed away, Sunday, February 1, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Emmanuel Church – Morrison. Visitation will be immediately before the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes – Clinton is assisting the family.
Larry Jay Eliasen was born on June 20, 1937, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Leonard and Elsina (Deike) Eliasen. He was a 1955 graduate of Plainfield High School. He graduated from University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1960. He married Bertha Lynne Anneberg on September 6, 1959, in Carroll, Iowa.
Larry worked in finance for General Electric in Morrison for thirty-six years, retiring in 2000. He helped to expand manufacturing in Carroll, IA, Malaysia, Singapore, and Mexico.
Larry was a member of Emmanel Church. He loved to travel with his wife and enjoyed golfing, carding a hole-in-one. He enjoyed planting and tending to fruit trees; he was instrumental in planting trees behind the Deereview Condominiums. He enjoyed playing games with his family – especially the grandchildren. Above all he loved his family.
Larry is survived by his wife: Bertha of Clinton; his daughter: Mary (Michael) Brown of Clinton, his son: Lonny (Shawnelle) Eliasen of LeClaire, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister: Frances and his brother: Albert.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
