Kenneth D. Burmeister, 85, of Clinton passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at MercyOne-Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 11:30 am, Friday, January 30, 2026 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in DeWitt. Kenneth Dale Burmeister was born January 8, 1941 in DeWitt, Iowa, the son of August and Lucille (Anderson) Burmeister. He married Wilma Liles on November 22, 1995 in Clinton, Iowa. Kenny worked as a laborer at ADM for 33 years retiring in 2005.
He loved time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. They will cherish the many day trips that they went on with Grandpa to the zoo and many other places. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors and cars and going to many car shows. He enjoyed tinkering and could fix just about any toy that the grandkids needed fixing.
Kenny is survived by his wife Wilma Burmeister of Clinton; five children: Debra Burmeister of Clinton, Dale (Mirna) Burmeister of Sherwood, Arkansas, Steven Burmeister of Clinton, Rhonda Liles of Clinton and Brian DeMarr; five grandchildren: Melinda, Bradley, Justin, Devann and Jordan; 7 great grandchildren and one more on the way; two brothers: Gary (Marilyn) Burmeister of Camanche and Edwin (Anna) Burmeister of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter Kelsey, five brothers, one sister and favorite dog Copper.
