Kenneth J. Bormann, 77, of Goose Lake, Iowa, passed away, Monday, August 3, 2015 at his home.
A Memorial Visitation will be from 10:00am to noon on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Kenneth John Bormann was born on January 1, 1938 in Clinton County, Iowa, the son of Richard and Regina (Feller) Bormann. He married Doris Breeden on May 1, 1957 in Maquoketa, Iowa.
Ken served in the Iowa National Guard for nearly 25 years. He was a contractor owning and operating Ken Bormann Garage Builders.
Ken was a member of the Clinton Eagles Club, he enjoyed traveling and was a proud donor of blood, donating 2 gallons in his lifetime.
Ken is survived by his wife: Doris of Goose Lake; 7 children: Gail (Martin) Schluns of DeWitt, Bruce (Faye) Bormann of Reno, Nevada, Bryan (Denise) Bormann of Stephen City, Virginia, Craig (Susan) Bormann of DeWitt, Chuck (Cathy) Bormann of Charlotte, Christopher (Veronica) Bormann of Omaha, Nebraska, and Nickolas (Victoria) Bormann of Nolanville, Texas; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, two brothers: Leonard (Connie) Bormann of Preston and Verlyn (Jane) Bormann of Preston; three sisters: Beverly Cook of Preston, Shirly (Steven) Ritenour of Preston, and Pat Reedy of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded death by is parents, and two brothers Duane and Richard, Jr.
Memorials can be made to the American Red Cross or the DeWitt Community Hospital Foundation.
