Keith M. Niles' Obituary
Keith M. Niles, 86, of Clinton, passed away, Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center – North Campus, Clinton.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am, Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Chancy Lutheran Church - Clinton Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the Clinton AMVETS Post#28. Serving as pallbearers will be grandchildren: Melanie Ramsey, Shawna Niles, Rachel Niles, Ross Niles, Janet Bielema, and Travis Feeler. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ray Coverdell and Arlene Coverdell. Visitation will be Monday, from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory.
Keith Melvin Niles was born on November 3, 1928 in Hanover, Illinois, the son of Lloyd and Anna (Cook) Niles. He attended Lyons High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1947-1949. He married Ella Mae Hadesbeck on June 15, 1950 in Clinton she died on January 5, 1975. He later married Berta Lee Pearson on November 8, 1975 in Miami, Florida.
Keith was employed at Clinton Corn/ADM for over 40 years retiring in 1992 and was a member of the 25 year club.
Keith was a member of Chancy Lutheran Church and was an avid Chicago Bear and Cub fan.
Keith is survived by his wife: Berta of Clinton; his son: Melvin (Regina) Niles of Clinton; stepson Harry (Frankie) Pearson of Georgia, and John (Ypsides) Pearson of Florida; very dear and wonderful friends: Glen & Gloria Coverdell of Camanche, 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and his daughter: Karen Feeler, his brother: Robert Niles, and his sister: Vera Miller, half brother: Harold Niles, and twin sisters.
Memorials in lieu of flowers can be made to Chancy Lutheran Church.
