Kathy L. Stearns-Proud Shadle, 52, of Camanche, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private memorial services will be Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Church of Read Obituary

We did have some good times. Now she can rest in peace.
The first time time I ever met Kate was in seventh grade at Washington Junior High School. We were in home economics class where we shared a table with each other and another girl. As always, Kate was very friendly and very talkative which I enjoyed as I was rather intimidated with our first day in junior high school. I know that Kate had a very challenging life but I do hope that she will be able to rest in peace as she crosses the door into heaven's gates as she did have many good qualities about herself in her life.
