I have to tell you.. as strange as it seemed to those who knew us, Kay became my Best Friend after Sy and I got married and moved away. Sy was always traveling, and I wrote letters. Only being able to buy stamps on pay days, my letters to her would usually be at least 6 pages long. Kay always answered with 4 to 6 pages. This went on for about 10 years. We settled in Idaho, our families took more of our time and eventually letter writing got down to Christmas cards with family updates, occasional phone calls and visits each time we came to Illinois.
