Karen Groh's Obituary
Karen M. Groh, 77, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Mercy Living Center – South.
There will be no services or visitation, the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
Karen Marie Groh was born on May 29, 1939 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Mildred (Lass) Baker. She married Larry Groh on November 29, 1972 in Clinton; he died April 21, 2009.
Karen owned and operated the Porthole in Clinton and the Porthole Too in Fulton with her husband for many years. She later was the district manager for KFC. She was an avid animal lover.
Karen is survived by two sons: Craig (Lisa) Abbott of Camanche, and Russ Abbott of Clinton; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a niece: Kaelene Clardy of Clinton, a sister-in-law: Jan Steinberg of California, and a step-son: Dave Groh of Fulton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son: Jim, one sister, and two brothers.
Memorials can be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
