Karen A. Carlsen, 79 of Camanche, passed away, Saturday, March 9, 2024 at her home.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Althaus, Mike Johnson, Jim Sowle, and Ryan Veenstra. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00-6:00pm at the funeral home. Karen Ann Fletcher was born on July 29, 1944 in Clinton, the daughter of Mervin and Emily (Holgerson) Fletcher. She was a 1962 graduate of Clinton High School. She married Dennis Carlsen on September 23, 1961 in DeWitt; he passed away March 13, 2019.
Karen was an insurance agent with her husband for many years.
Karen enjoyed gardening, traveling, crocheting, and beading.
Karen is survived by her children: Dennis (Karen) Carlsen of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, and Paula (Kory) Slade of LaGrange, Texas, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog; Ginger. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, and two sisters.
