Joyce Tripp, 79, of Camanche died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center –North Campus A memorial visitation will be 3-6 pm, Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Joyce Fletcher was born September 11, 1931 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Mervin and Emily (Holgerson) Fletcher. She married Kenneth Tripp on January 29, 1949. He died November 22, 1986. She was a house wife and a mother. She was the past president of the Eagles Club in Clinton and a member for more than 20 years. She loved to crochet and lived for her children and grandchildren more than anything else. Joyce is survived by 2 daughters: Judy (Robert) Hubbe of Clinton and Marcia Jones of Camanche; a son: Kenneth (Ellen) Tripp of Donahue, Iowa; 11 grandchildren: Kelly, Michele, Tatem, Jeremy, Robert Jr., Sarah, Aaron, Derrick, Jeffrey, Shawn, and John; 14 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Donna (Don) Johnson of Clinton and Karen (Dennis) Carlsen of Camanche; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Sally Oderwald, and 1 brother. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
